Structural Systems Limited takes pride in delivering only quality metal structures to all our clients. A relatively straight forward storage warehouse is as important as the Worrell, Weekes and Walcott Stand of the Kensington Oval – the show case venue of the 2007 Cricket World Cup. A project recognized with a commendation at the prestigious 40th Annual Structural Steel Design Awards in the United Kingdom. A project completed under intense international scrutiny with unforgiving deadlines and technically challenging design specifications. Our dedication to quality remains unwavering.

Founded in 1975 with the understanding that to achieve success as a company we must always strive to deliver above and beyond our customer’s expectations. This understanding has made us one of the leading suppliers of metal buildings across the Caribbean. We have experience of the unique challenges that must be overcome when working in this region. Our buildings have withstood the extreme weather associated with the Caribbean, including repeated hurricanes, and we take great pride in our outstanding record of maintaining structural integrity. A sustained program of investment is central to our corporate strategy. We are always seeking to improve as a company to be better positioned to meet the needs of our customers. This constant quest for improvement has allowed us to build the most advanced automated steel plant in the Caribbean. This is manned with a highly trained and motivated work force who operate a customized ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software system that maximizes the efficiency of our CAD/CAM (Computer Aided Design/Computer Aided Manufacturing) production process.
Our Plant and Process
Our highly automated plant is located in Barbados, one of the transport hubs of the Caribbean. We service the entire region from Jamaica in the north to Guyana in the south. The plant sits on 80,000 square feet and is capable of producing 5,000 tonnes of steel per year. At its heart is a CAD/CAM production process. This maximises our capacity, while delivering the quality and attention to detail demanded in the fabrication of steel buildings. All buildings are designed to the Caribbean Wind Code and overseen by our team of structural engineers. Approved designs are downloaded directly into our CAM machinery, ensuring the accuracy and quality of the end product. Structural Systems Limited operates a customised ERP system, specially designed for the Metals Manufacturing Industry. This proactive system gives our professionals the tools and real time information that allows them to stay on top of all aspects of the production process. This ensures on-time delivery of every job.
